We offer boxes for the safe transport of blood and blood components to and from donation centres, blood banks and hospitals.
Transport boxes from B Medical Systems
The special transport boxes, made from rotationally moulded polyethylene, feature an extraordinarily sturdy casing that is almost impervious to external forces, e.g. caused by bumps and falls, whose sturdiness has been proven in drop tests.
The polyurethane foam injected into the double walls of these transport systems is free of CFC and HCFC and ensures optimum insulation and protection of quality of the transported goods, especially with longer transport times.
The transport boxes can easily and thoroughly be cleaned and disinfected with conventional disinfectants. There are no inaccessible corners or areas inside the transport systems.
The transport boxes are MDR Class IIa certified and validated to maintain temperatures such as -32°C, +4°C, +22°C, and +37°C when used with PCM temperature units.
Transport boxes from M&G
Isothermal bags EMO 02PP, 03PP, 04PP and 06 PP are ideal for the long-distance transport of blood and blood components. They are composed of two elements; expanded polypropylene box (inside) and expanded polyethylene bag (outside). These are highly isothermal materials which guarantee that the temperature stays stable for several hours.
The transport boxes have been tested simulating by means of a climate chamber different external temperatures ranging between -12°C and +40°C, with the aim of evaluating the thermal insulation of the container and its ability to maintain the temperature inside stable within the ranges of +2°C – +8°C and +20 °C – +24°C.
In all the conditions simulated, the bags were able to keep the temperature at a stable level for a period of time between 14 and 17 hours.
